Throughout the year we organise tours, which enable us to see places further afield.
The weekend tours, generally go to locations which have a range of accommodation, including Youth Hostel, camping and caravaning, and B&B's. Popular hostels include Arnside, Kirkby Stephen, Hawes and Osmotherly.
Depending on the location some members will ride out on on the Friday or Saturday and ride back home on the Sunday, while others will drive out to the location for shorter rides around that area.
For many years we have organised two longer tours of one weeks duration. The May tour generally exploring a scenic part of Scotland, covering 50-60 miles a day and staying in hostels. The September Tour, again one week, has in previous years visited various parts of England and Wales which offer a combination of quiet byways and attractive countryside.
Another opportunity for a week away cycling is to attend the National CTC Birthday Rides which are held at a different venue each year in August.
