On Sunday 27th August we will be hosting the fourth and final of our 2017 Challenge Rides. The 100m Challenge Ride. There is no time limit on this ride, it is designed to offer a distance challenge to those wanting to add 100m to their list ot achievements.
Starting from Whalley Bus Station, the route takes in the familiar Gisburn and Settle before heading off through Wray and breaking for lunch near Lancaster.
The return trip passes through Glasson Dock, Garstang and Great Eccleston before returning to familiar roads through Longridge and Ribchester to the finish back in Whalley.

On Sunday 30th July we will be hosting the third of our 2017 Challenge Rides. The 100km Challenge Ride. There is no time limit on this ride, it is designed to offer a distance challenge to those wanting to add 100km to their list ot achievements.
Starting from Whalley Bus Station, the route takes in the familiar Ribchester and Longridge before heading off through Broughton to Great Eccleston then turning north towards Stakepool and Pilling before breaking for lunch in Knott End.
The return trip heads north east along the cost before dropping back by Pilling, through Garstang and Inglewhite, returning through Longridge and finishing by the bridge over the Ribble in Ribchester.

For those wanting even more of a challenge, we will also be staging a 100 mile challenge later in August. More details to follow nearer the time.
Sunday 2nd July is the date for the second of this years challenge rides.
This is the second in our series of four challenge rides we are holding this year, spread throughout the summer. If you completed our 50km challenge ride in May, you may want to push that little bit further and join us on Sunday 2nd July for the 50 miles.
Starting from Whalley Bus Station at 9:00am, the route heads out through Mitton and Waddington. Passing through Bolton-by-Bowland stopping at Airton for lunch.
We return to Whalley via Gargrave and Gisburn
Depending on numbers, it is likely that we will ride out in two groups, offering riders a choice of pace.

Sunday 21st May marks the first of this years challenge rides.
This is the first in a series of four challenge rides we are holding this year, spread throughout the summer. Join us on Sunday 21st for the 50km, you can build up through 50 miles in June, 100km in July, and up to the 100mile ride in late August.
Starting from Whalley Bus Station at 9:30am, the route heads out through Mitton and Waddington. Passing through Bolton-by-Bowland stopping at "Be a Gardenmaker"s for lunch.
We return to Whalley via Chatburn.
Note that the ride is listed as starting from Springwood Picnic Area on the runs list. - This is because there is ample parking there for those driving to the start. It's a quick/short ride down the hill from the car park into Whalley, turning right at the mini roundabout, the Bus Station is then on your right.

We are planning a car assisted ride starting from Hawes on the 9th July.
If people are interested, we could make this into a weekend away, using local Youth Hostels, B&B's or camping.
Blackburn and District CTC are holding a slide show on Thursday 23rd Feb, 7:30pm, at their club room - Primetime - Norden School Rishton, at which our very own Jim Duerden will be presenting slides from his tour of Germany.
